Weather is a part of life that exists in all areas of the world. In many areas in the world you’ll find different types of weather. Weather can be unpredictable & strike at any given point with no warning. The effects can be devastating. So weather is a very impactful event that can endanger or even destroy human existence. This is true, because in Jay Rubin’s story “The Seventh Man”, we able to learn weather can put your life at risk, because in line 1 he writes, “A huge wave nearly swept me away, said the seventh man, almost whispering ( Rubin 1)”. Basically he’s saying weather can strike moment. Another reason this is also true is, because in Patricia Smith’s poem “5 P.M Tuesday, August 23, 2005”, we are able to deduce that weather slowly becomes more dangerous as it builds up, because in line 21 & 22 she writes, “Every woman harbors a chaos , can wait for it, straddling a fever ( Smith )”. In other words she believes that weather will slowly build up until it eventually put human existence at risk.
Severe weather can result in destruction. The reason why is in the story “The Seventh Man” Jay Rubin states, “It barely missed me, but in my place it swallowed everything that mattered the most to me and swept it off to another world” ( Rubin 1). This is true, because in the article “13 Ways Weather Affects Your Health Without Knowing” Annie Hauser asserts that, “Changing seasons and hot weather can exacerbate asthma and allergy symptoms , with the growing season and air pollution paying a serious role” (Hauser 4). The author is inferring that even non severe weather is able to kill, because we have prior knowledge of people dying from asthma attacks. She goes on to say, “People with ADHD are more likely to develop seasonal effective disorder” (Hauser 13). In other she believes the weather is nothing to joke
