The group I saw play Saturday night was the RZ surface Quartet at the restaurant called the globe. It was a jazz performance and during the performance I broke down three songs. While everyone was at the restaurant eating and drinking RZ surface Quartet was performing in front of the restaurant.
In the first song they played was In AABA form. The bands style was trained and it was also formal. The instruments they used in their performance was a saxophone, piano, bass, and drums. The dynamics of this song was acoustic, electric, amplified and medium loud. The texture of this song was melody with accompaniment. The rhythm of this song had some repeated patterns and was also a two or four beat pattern. It was also a medium dance tempo as well as polyrhythmic. The harmony of this song was mostly consonant and also had a progression. The melody of this song had a big range, was fairly simple, rhythmic, and had steps. The second song they played was also In AABA form. The bands style was trained and it was also formal. The instruments they used in their performance was a saxophone, piano, bass, and drums as well.
