Jeannine Burk is a survivor of the holocaust where Hitler hated jews and put the in concentration camps and sometimes they would die in the concentration camps. Jeannine Burk was 7 years old at the start of the war.
Jeannine was born September 15, 1939 in Brussels, Belgium. She was a hidden child. Her parents sent her to a woman's house for hiding. She lived there for 2 years. Some days a nazi parade would go by and she would hid in the outhouse with a cat that she had found. There was always a little hole in the outhouse that she would stay away from, because she thought that if she could see them, they could see her. She lived with the lady, but she did not know her name. Then one day the nazi´s came and they took her father. They didn't take her mother, because she had to care for Jeannine´s older sister, because she had a bone disease and she was on the ground in pain. Then next day her mother took them to a hospital to help her. When she is in the hospital they found out that the nazi´s had killed her father, but there was no reason why he was killed beside he was a jew. A month later and her sister is walking again, but her mom is having weird things happen to her. They went to the doctor and they found out that she had breast cancer. She married him and didn't have anymore kids. She did not go to school because she did not have the time nor money.
Jeannine had a ruff life but now she works as a secretary, she has a husband and 6 children. She went to a holocaust survivor meet and she learned that she didn´t know where she grew up or where she did anything, because the only people that knew that is her mom and dad.
