In Jefferson Davis’s inaugural address given in February 1861. This speech was presented in Montgomery, Alabama. He believed that the Southern states were Justified in leaving the Union. Davis was a man who once was a senator for the people of the South was now the president of the Confederate States of America, Davis wanted slavery to be recognized as Constitutional.
