In the article, “A Change of Heart About Animals” by Jeremy Rifkin, the author argues that animals have emotions and that they should have rights. Rifkin himself writes, “They feel pain, suffer and experience stress, affection, excitement and even love -- and these findings are changing how we view animals.”In other words, he believes that animals are capable of emotions just like humans are. Although I agree with the author up to a point, I cannot accept his overall conclusion that animals should have rights like us humans.

Animals are still animals in the end, but that does not mean we should abuse and use animals inhumanely. Humans have a greedy nature so we tend to not think about others, we know what is right and wrong, and we can
