Participating in the JFK volunteer program has been something occupying my mind for a while now, and I am honored to be considered for a position in the program. As a highschool student with great aspirations, there are a lot of responsibilities placed upon me. It is a given that some are more tiring than enjoyable, but volunteering is one that will never get old. Volunteering allows me to help others in various fields, without them having to give me anything but their time in return. My sophomore year is when I decided that I wanted to volunteer more, seeing those around me do it and because it would be beneficial to my future academic career.
