Jim Bowie is a household name in the land of Texas, yet many people don't know the complex and interesting story about the Texas legend. When Jim was a younger man, he absolutely adored hunting. Matching to his famous item, he preferred knife hunting. His brother even wrote down that he would rope and ride wild mustangs. To further prove his savageness, he would put inward facing spikes in logs that have honey to kill bears, just for fun. But regardless, he was a very knowledgeable kid. His mother homeschooled him and his brother; he learned math to keep track of his own money. As he grew into a responsible man, he used the money he counted for multiple bets. These were not just ordinary bets though, he would bet his life and fortunes on stupid things. Using his earnings, he set off to Louisiana to purchase land and a home. His father passed in 1821. This brought a new realization to him that he was becoming and adult, and that he had to make adult decisions. He decided not to immediately take the chance to move to Texas, but he eventually joined the old 300. He had been shot AT LEAST three time, and stabbed brutally with a sword cane. Bowie used his legendary ruthlessness to kill one person with a huge knife amazingly. This knife today is known as ¨The Bowie Knife¨. Bowie later established the land known as the ¨Arcadia Sugar
