James Marshall “Jimi” Hendrix flew from New York to London with his manager, at just 24 years of age, to look for some work as a guitarist. At a Cream concert, he requested if he could play with Clapton and somehow that dream materialized. After that impressive performance, Hendrix was befriended by Clapton. But just four years later, he died as a result of a lethal combination of alcohol and pills. During those four years he created music that changed rock music forever.
