From jail cells to big dollar bills Jimmy Valentine turns his life around. Jimmy Valentine was serving a 4 year prison sentence for cracking safes when he got released after 10 months, he moved to the town Elmore to start a new life. He started a shoe company and was willing to turn his life around for the woman he loved. Jimmy Valentine was trying to live a charitable life. He offered to turn himself in, he tried to get rid of everything from his old life, and he was willing to make sacrifices.
Jimmy Valentine offered to turn himself in. He was at the bank, which the love of his life owned, and a girl got locked inside the new safe which did not have a passcode so once it was locked, it was locked. Jimmy valentine took the risk of being exposed and cracked the safe to save her life. When he did that Ben Price, an investigator, happened to be standing right there. First, when he first moved to Elmore e changed his name. When he changed his name it was showing that his old lifestyle was being left in the past. His name reminded him of his past criminal, safe cracking self. Also, he wrote a letter to Ben Price to tell him he is giving his thousands of dollars worth of tools away. Jimmy wrote to Ben “...Also, I want to make a present of my kit of tools. I know you’ll be glad to get them. …” He wrote to Ben Price, an investigator, to tell him personally that he's done with that lifestyle and he can personally take the tools from Him if he wanted.
