John wakes up unaware of how many aspects of his day were developed in China. First thing John does is create a to-do list of things he wants to accomplish today. To John, paper is a common commodity that everyone uses, but according to British biochemist turned China historian, Joseph Needham lists paper as one of the West’s most important achievements, which originated in China. John then decides to make himself breakfast, he decides to cook himself oatmeal in a lightweight cooking pot. John then goes back inside to get his oatmeal; he then puts his oatmeal in a porcelain bowl. Porcelain was a type of pottery first made in China during the Tang dynasty (619 AD – 907 AD), it may been in existence in the Han Dynasty around 200
