A young ecuadorian immigrant, Lorena Gallo, married a man who lived in Virginia named John Wayne in 1989. According to Lorena, the marriage was anything but peaceful, as she accused John of incidents of sexual, physical, and verbal abuse. On the night of June 23, 1993, days before their fourth anniversary, Lorena was supposedly raped that night and she made the decision that night to make her own justice.
