John F. Kennedy and Bernie Sanders “Ask not what your country can do for you ask what you can do for your country.”- John F. Kennedy. This quote can not only be used to describe the Political integrity of John F. Kennedy, but it can also be used to show the Political integrity of Bernie Sanders. Bernie Sanders and JFK, both respected Political leaders, who have more in common than you might think. When John F. Kennedy ran for Presidential office in the 60s America needed a President like him. We needed a President like John because we needed someone who could help get the Civil Rights Act of 1964 passed. Sadly, John never accomplished this as he was murdered in 1963. The people wanted a leader who could inspire them, which is a main reason he was elected, and we still want someone who can inspire us today. Today, America needs another President like John Fitzgerald Kennedy. We need a man like JFK; a man who can fix the civil injustices that have begun in this country again because of our Government. Bernie Sanders campaign mainly focuses on improving life for the poor, he wants to raise the minimum wage to $15, and offer free Colleges and Universities. John cared very much about the future of this country in the 60s, and Bernie Sanders shares the thoughts of making a better future for everyone today. John wanted a good future for his children and for all of the people in this country as well. There are many similarities between John and Bernie, but there are a few differences.
