Johnny The Hero
What is a hero? A hero is someone who does good for someone or something. The Outsiders has a lot of things that can relate to a hero. In The Outsiders, there are many heroes but one stood out because he risked his own life and saved many people. Johnny is that hero because he has saved so many people, stood up to a Dally, and risked his life to save children. One reason why Johnny is a hero is he finally stood up to people. He stood up to Dally because Dally was picking on two girls and being hateful. Then, Johnny told dally to knock it off and Dally Listened. Johnny was the only one who spoke up to Dally because Dally loved him like a brother. This came to a surprise to everyone because he is the gang's pet and he usually is the quiet one and too scared to stand up to anyone making everyone confused that he stood up. He is a hero because he helped two girls from being bullied.

Johnny and Ponyboy were talking to their girls that Dally picked on earlier so that's why they wanted revenge. When the Socs saw Ponyboy and Johnny, the Socs took Ponyboy and started drowning him. So Johnny comes to Ponyboy's rescue in the park when a Soc tries to drown him in the fountain. Johnny is forced to use the knife he decided to carry following his previous interaction with a Soc that had large rings on his fingers. It is this exact same Soc, Bob Sheldon that Johnny stabs to death, forcing the Socs to release Pony. Then, Ponyboy is safe making Johnny a hero for saving
