What did Great Britain do that the colonists weren’t happy about? They made laws and rules for the Americans that were very unfair to them and their own country. Because trade was restricted from itself the citizens were forced to rely on Britain for the supplies that they needed to survive, but once they got the needed goods they ended up spoiled and in no use. When the war started, the British forced the colonists to pay taxes for war debts because the King believed that his people can take all of the colonists belongings and money away whenever they wanted to.

How did the colonists react? What did they try to do? The colonists felt betrayed and hurt, and they mostly felt that they didn’t need to pay taxes anymore so they protested and said that those unfair laws violated their rights as citizens of Britain so they decided never to buy british goods ever again and some of the colonists disguised themselves as Indians and snuck on ships in the harbor and dumped barrel fulls of imported tea in the harbor to remind their enemies of all the grief that they caused upon the Americans making it known as The Boston Tea Party.
