The author of The Progressive Presidents, John Morton Blum, was an American historian who was active between the years of 1950 and 1991. He also spent 34 years as a history professor at Yale University and is the author of several other history books. Many of these history books include topics such as American political history and profiles on past American presidents. He also edited and co authored a university history text book.
The Progressive Presidents is the story of four progressive presidents and is broken up into a prologue, an epilogue and four chapters in which each president has their own.
