It is my opinion that JonBenet was killed by her family or at the very least the family covered up the crime. The only people known to have been in the home at the time of the murder were JonBenet’s mother, Patsy Ramsey, her father, John Ramsey, and older nine (9) year old brother Burke Ramsey. According to the Denver Police Department, there were no signs of forced entry ("CNN - Authorities release search warrants in JonBenet case - Sept. 29, 1997", 1997). My opinion is based in part on the fact that Patsy Ramsey discovered the ransom note the morning of December 26, 1996. Not only did she discover the note, after initial evidence samples were sent off for the investigation to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (C.B.I), C.B.I determined that that the handwriting from the ransom note did not belong to John Ramsey, but could not conclusively clear Patsy Ramsey (Obmasick, 1999).

Also, the specific detail of demanding $118,000.00 in cash, was an amount associated with a bonus John Ramsey received from work. Patsy and John Ramsey would have known this. After all, John Ramsey did run his own business. Furthermore, the location and affluence of the family

In addition to the movement of JonBenet’s body, fibers from Pat Ramsey’s clothing was found on the duct tape that was on JonBenet’s mouth (Obmasick, 1999). The piece of clothing turned out to be from Pat Ramsey’s Christmas sweater, which was turned in a year later (Obmasick, 1999). If it were the early morning hours when JonBenet was killed, then why were fibers from Patsy Ramsey’s sweater on the duct tape that was tied around JonBenet and also did Patsy not but on pajamas when she went to bed the night before?
