John Williams was born on February 8, 1932 in Flushing Queens, New York. He went to The Juilliard School and when he moved to Los Angeles he went to The University of California. There, he learned how to compose and write music which would make him one of the most famous composers and musicians of all time. However, before he came to fame he was drafted by the U.S. Air Force in 1951. He served in the U.S. States Air Force for three years before returning to New York. John Williams has written many famous pieces for many famous movies. His career really took off in the 1970s. However, it started slow in the beginning. He wrote concert pieces for the many of the Olympic Games. As of now Williams has had 49 Academy Award nominations, making him the most highly decorated nominee who is still alive. Williams has also received three Emmy Awards and more than 20 Grammy Awards. The impressive body of work that Williams has created includes music for many other movies, such as Superman in 1978, The Witches of Eastwick in 1987, Home Alone in 1990, and the first three Harry Potter films. John Williams while he turned out to be arguably the most famous composer from the 20th century really had no one person and no one thing that drive him. His only drive was the passion he had for music and the skill he had causing him to be one of the most famous composers ever. However he inspired many people to try composing as a career when someone as iconic as he was does such amazing and well know things they always have people who go and try to do it themselves. However most will fail a few may succeed and become great just like the idol John Williams. Overall John Williams has and is still having a great career. He wrote some of the most memorable and iconic songs to date.
