Implementing John’s behavior plan helps him to learn positive ways to gain attention as well as monitor his behavior in a way that is practical and he will be able to utilize outside of school as well. John’s ADHD makes it difficult for him to reduce these impulsive tendencies therefore he must work to find strategies and replacement behavior that will help him remain productive and on task while in class. John’s family is was very supportive of the interventions and were in constant contact with the school to ensure that John had repercussions if he did not abide the guidelines of the plan. John was initially resistant to the plan, however, after beginning to receive rewards (extra time on his cell phone) he began to improve his behavior and
