Joplin Tornado

The Joplin tornado changed the lives of many, as is struck the town. Rain and hail came down from the clouds above and soon after that the tornado struck. Many were killed but many more were injured by the aftermath of the tornado. Thank to the tornado the St. Johns's took a direct hit and later on they had to tear it down. In memorial of all the people who died, they turned an empty lot into a butterfly garden. The Joplin destroyed everything in sight and more. The Joplin tornado was caused because hot and cold air met in the clouds. Warm air from the Gulf of Mexico goes north until it meets the cold air from the south and makes a tornado. When the warm and cold air from different altitudes come together, it creates a wind shear and circular air motions that lead to a tornado. 7000 homes gone,159 people killed, 1000 injured due to the Joplin tornado loved ones gone and memories lost, this is what the Joplin tornado did the people of Joplin. The St. John's hospital to a direct hit from the tornado with people still inside. 5 years later the St. John’s hospital was torn down due to the hit it took now it is just an empty lot. Most people died because they were trapped under cars and some were still in the house. They could not last very long injured no water, food wet clothes so they were basically left for dead, but some people were able to get out and to safety. Everything destroyed thanks to the Joplin tornado. The Joplin tornado left the town of Joplin Missouri in pieces. The Joplin tornado was caused when warm air from the north and cold air from the south meet. When the tornado came down from the sky's above the town of Joplin ran away in fear, but some people did not make it out.
