In 1764, Jordan went to a market. He was looking for sugar. he had $5.00 and the sugar was $4.99.
He tough that he had money to buy sugar. But he did not realize about the tax. When he is gonna pay the sugar the seller told him that he need more money. When he was returning home sad he found a newspaper. The news paper was saying about the sugar act. Jordan was mad because he did not have money to pay the tax and because he found out about the sugar act. So, Jordan went to a public protest. In 1776 the sugar act ended and Jordan fight for freedom.
