Individuals can overcome intimidating challenges by working hard to reach their goals due to the fact that it will extinguish their challenges and empower them when they achieve their aspirations. In the article “Reaching for the Stars” the author shows in paragraph 10 how José Hernandez achieved his dream: “It was an arduous journey, but it paid off—for José, his impoverished childhood is now a distant memory.” This proves how José’s struggles dissolved when he reached his goal of becoming an astronaut.
