Judith Ortiz Cofer is a Puerto Rican woman who wrote The Myth of the Latin Women. In it, she describes her personal experience of prejudice. Her intended audience were women, those who stereotype and those who do it subconsciously. Their values are within the society itself that include family matters/role. The touches on racism and stereotype that could be associated with it. She aims to show that racism is in every society, country, and even within the nation. She does this by using ethos. In which, she emphasizes the point that many societies have stereotypes and racism.
