Julian Treasure begins his speech titled, “How to speak so that people want to listen” with a statement about the human voice. He tells the audience: “The human voice is the instrument we all play, it’s the most powerful sound in the world”. Julian Treasure goes on to explain that for many of us, others do not listen while we are speaking, but by learning to use a powerful voice that can change. His speech is well organized flowing smoothly from one main point to the next.
Interestingly, Julian Treasure first main point is the “Seven Deadly Sing of Speaking, which gets a little chuckle from the audience. The sins to be avoided consist of: gossiping, judging, negativity, complaining, excuses, embroidering or exaggeration and dogmatism, which
