William Shakespeare in the book, Julius Caesar Act 1, assert that a government may have conspirators planning to overthrow the rule. Shakespeare supports his claim by first indicating the conspirators trying to persuade Caesar's most trusted friend Brutus. He then illustrates the sly attempts to bring Brutus over to the conspirators side of thinking. Lastly, the author demonstrates the conspirators planning to win Brutus with bad omens. Shakespeare's purpose is to point out that a government is not perfect in order to show that there will be issues of different opinions. The author writes in a contemptuous tone for a philosopher's ideals of a government. This work is significant because it defines the aspects of power and the affect it plays
