Diary Entry 1
Act I
Dear Diary: Caesar defeated Pompey. Now he has gained support from people of Rome. I would be furious if Caesar becomes ruler! I would never kneel to that under qualified scrub of a leader. I hatched a plan. I know I'm not the only one who is mad Caesar is becoming king. So I began to think of all the people who hate Caesar and I have gathered a group of people who are willing to kill Caesar tomorrow, but make no mistake about it, I want no one other than Brutus. Before the election started, I pulled him aside from all the chaos to talk him into it. He contemplated it but I think he wants to join. I know he has doubts about killing Caesar though. I'm taking my group to his house in efforts to sway him to join us once

We had extremely remarkable success last night. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you, we agreed on a name! "The Conspirators". That just has a beautiful sound to it. Who else could have thought of a name like that, definitely not Caesar. We are creating peace, and erasing Caesars disgrace of rule! We have 8 members, Myself, Casca, Metellus Cimber, Decius, Trebonius, Cinna, Brutus! I am pumped that Brutus chose to join us, recruiting him payed off. Those letters I had delivered to him worked better than I thought they would. He thinks he is calling the shots now because of the flattery remarks I forged, what a fool. He even assumed he had the power to reject my plans to kill Mark Antony. He had a stronger ego than I would have liked. But we need Brutus on our side so I will tolerate him. We laid down the foundation to our grand plot and we will kill Caesar at the capitol. I’ll be sending Decius to Caesar's home to persuade him to be Rome's next leader. If that fails I guess we will just have to escort him there. But Caesar is too predictable, I know he is too self-absorbed currently because he didn't listen to the soothsayer's ill-fated message regarding the ides of march. Hey look what day it is! The citizens of Rome have no idea about my perfectly sought out tactic or the drastic positive changes that will be taking place shortly …show more content…
I should probably document it too you my beloved diary. I'll start from this morning. I walked with Caesar to the Capitol protecting him and fending off anyone who already heard about our plan. I failed in doing so when the soothsayer and Artemidorus reached Caesar. I tell you what! I sure am lucky he is ignorant as dirt because he was oblivious to both of them. The conspirators were waiting for us at the senate house. We told Caesar to repeal Publius Cimber's banishment immediately because we knew he wouldn't to allow us to have a perfect moment to kill him. One by one, we all delivered blows to the all powerful Caesar all in-front of the people of Rome. Finally, when Caesar had just a few breaths left, his own best friend stepped up and finished him. It's probably a good thing Brutus finished him like that, I don't think he would have been able to live knowing his best friend turned on him. Oh who am I kidding, he wouldn't have lived anyway! Soon after the slaughter, the word arrived that Marc Antony wanted to join our legendary group. But a few words from his servant wasn't enough for me, he needs to say it to our faces. Before you knew it Marc Antony was literally begging to join "The Conspirators" and desired a chance to speak at Caesars' funeral. I would have never let him join but I was so overwhelmed with joy that I let Brutus handle it. Marc Antony appeared thankful and went to say his farewell to Caesar. I
