Not only was Julius Caesar a leader but he was a role model and one of the most powerful men in 60 BCE and 49-44 BCE. Caesar had fought in many battles and also had many victories throughout Europe. Caesar declared himself as dictator for life and will always be known for his amazing military mind. He was part of many wars one being the civil war against Pompey. Caesar also had success in reforming the Roman government which made a countless amount of people adore him. However, though a numerous amount of people believed Caesar was a powerful and marvelous man, a ginormous amount of other people found him not as marvelous. The article on Encyclopedia.com states thats, “The conspirators hoped that, with Caesar's death, government would be restored to its old republican form and all of the factors that had produced a Caesar would disappear.” Many people in Rome also were jealous of all his power which lead them to stabbe him to death.
