Jung Typology Analysis

An ISTJ makes up about 13 percent of the population. Jung typology describes this personality as having a strong sense of logic, extreme dedication to duty, and a high level of integrity. It also described ISTJ’s of having pride in the work they do, enjoying responsibility, and completing tasks with accuracy and thoroughness, however I sometimes come off as stubborn, cold, and judgemental. These concepts seem to describe me quite well and are represented in the way I deal with people and and overall life. I also like keeping to traditions, habits, and laws. I have always had a hard time breaking or going against a set of rules. However, when I truly don’t believe something is just, I will go against the tradition. For example, I will speed in my car because as long as I have full control of my car, I don’t see the consequences and therefore don’t believe speeding is necessarily bad. Having that said, I was never the kid who egged or teeped houses because I knew it was wrong and there is no purpose of doing it, and therefore I had an extremely hard time conforming to these activities if my friends did …show more content…
I know many people love having all eyes on them, and I think our culture is breeding more attention seekers, but I am for sure not one of them. I am uncomfortable speaking in large groups and performing speeches, because I don’t like the fact that I can’t immediately receive feedback and know what's going on through people's heads. Continuing with this idea, I enjoy having 1 on 1 conversations because I know what is going on in their head and can read their body language, which is much harder to do when you’re with many people. Disagreeing from the Jung response, I actually prefer to be with people unlike most Introverts. I’d rather be with friends rather than sitting at home reading a book. However, I don’t enjoy spending time with random people I don’t know because it's hard for me to talk and interact with them
