While reading, “How to Date a Browngirl, Blackgirl, Whitegirl, Halfie” by Junot Diaz, I would say that Yunior is a round character. I say round character reason being Junit Diaz elaborated enough about Yunior as though he was known personally. A round character is one whom is more complex than a flat or stock character. Round characters have more depth and require more attention. (Meyer) Diaz starts his story off describing Yunior and his family with precise detail, as well as why he was noted as a round character. The story takes place in a Spanish area with different characters, different sceneries and various slang. Although we do not learn the character’s name until the end of the chapter, as a reader you’re left wondering who is the writer
