The gas giants are distinctively different in comparison to the terrestrial planets, but even amognst themselves, are very unique in their own compositions and internal structures. For instance, unlike Jupiter and Saturn that consist of layers of a multitude of gases in their atmospheres like ammonium hydro-sulfate, methane and ammonia clouds, the atmospheres of Uranus and Neptune are lower, thinner, and consist mostly of hydrogen, helium, and methane. Because of the heavier abundance of methane in the atmosphere, both planets are distinctly bluer than of Jupiter and Saturn (Neptune is a darker hue of blue because it contains more methane than Uranus).
