I do not agree with the supreme court for sentencing children life in prison, because at times when you are a kid, you know what is your next move, until after they murder. There are children that are aware of their actions when committing a crime. At a young age, they might not be so familiar with consequences, until they are arrested and charged with murder etc and then life in prison. Even though children committing a heinous crime at a young age, I feel like they can have a second chance in life. Psychology is important to observe criminals, to tell how they are as a person. People in prison are ready to get their life together after being locked up for years and even decades. There has been a stunning increase of juveniles who commit violent crimes every day, so every time the victim's' family and the court want to try them these juveniles as an adult. Although many people disagree that most juveniles who commit violent crimes should be tried as adults. In some areas of law we look at the differences between children and adults. Children are not permitted the same rights and responsibilities as adults (voting, smoking, joining the military) because we notice their incapacity to make decisions. Why don't we recognize the same difference in the criminal law? We don't say, "this is a very important election, so let's let the kids vote". We do not say things like, "this war is a very important, so let's have our children receive weapons and send them to fight for our country". So why do we agree to say this case is unlike, and this child/teen deserves to be treated as an adult and locked away in a prison for life and have no more view of the outside world.
