“Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes” Mahatma Gandhi. As a kid you make mistakes so I think that juveniles should not be tried as adults. Children don’t realize consequences of their actions but those mistakes haunts them through life as young juveniles. It’s scientific proven that human brain does not fully develop until in the twenties so juveniles could have taken a rash decision which could cause them to end up in prison. Another reason why juveniles should not be tried as adults because it there is high chance for them to be arrested and charged for the same crime they committed again. Final reason is that juveniles are more than likely to be abused and join gangs in adult prisons rather than juvenile’s prisons. Juveniles should not be tried as adults because they their brain have fully not developed also they could get abused in adult prison and being sent adult prison could cause them to commit the same crimes over and over again .
