Kairos Rhetorical Summary

Kairos is a rhetorical appeal to time, opportunity, problem and situation. This speech effectively appeared with a good opportunity at a right time that made the saying more rhetorical. According to Martin Luther King Jr.’s speech transcript in the American Rhetoric website, that year which 1963 was the 100th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation; however, the unfair treatment to African American still existed, and it made people feel shame about it. The right time influenced people to deeply think about all men should be equal. And the right opportunity was that there were 250,000 people at the Lincoln Memorial, Washington D.C together to listen the speech of civil right.
