Happiness. Such was the expression to best describe how Katherine Pierce was currently feeling. Over the course of her five hundred years of running, there had always been a yearning within her, a craving for a particular something that she'd long given up on attaining: Freedom.

Ever since her early years as a vampire she had often dreamt of the day a certain hybrid excused her for all of her supposed past transgressions. Although till this day Katherine was certain she never wronged the man. After all she had done what anyone would have had they been in her situation: Run.
