Have you ever bullied someone else without knowing? Audience members during the King and I play production told another person to beat it. The audience spoke about stuff like why would you bring "that" kind of child. The mother was apologizing for her son that impeded the play. After the production an actor, Kelvin Moon Loh stood up for the mother. Kelvin stated theater needs to be more merciful and have more compassion in a Facebook post. When Kelvin Moon Loh stood up for the mother he showed mercy in real life and he showed us we need mercy today as the minority are being bullied or unwelcome and the majority will still have power where we all should be equal. The child with autism wasn’t excused during the performance. This persecution against a child is something that did not represent what the theater is, theater is about bringing people together and an enrichment to our daily lives, not just entertainment. Instead the audience kept blaming the child for ruining their experience when the mother had paid the same price and was trying to enjoy the experience herself. Kelvin Moon Loh much wanted to scream out against the prejudices happening in front of him and when he posted about it on Facebook it certainly drew support. Everyone’s been there when we have done something wrong and we get caught up in the moment, but occasionally we only realize what we do after someone points out what we did was wrong. Some of us know what we do is wrong, but before you do something you find questionable think about it before doing it. So ask yourself,“Is this the right action to take?” before you go and make a rash
