How difficult can it be to handle one’s stress level? Stress is your body's way of responding to any kind of demand or threat. Stress can become a make or break type of physical and mental issue for everyone. Stress can cause various problems with our body such as losing hair, having high blood pressure or can cause a complete mental breakdown. Any significant event can cause someone stress level to rise exponentially. There are some strategies that I currently use or will try in the near future to lower my moderate stress level. Meditate, kick boxing and listening to music are strategies that I currently trying to lower my stress level.

Kick boxing is a group of stand-up combat sports based on kicking and punching. I believe kick boxing helps me release some mental frustration out of my system. Kicking boxing has three variations which are karate, Muay Thai and western boxing. I’m currently training in the Muay Thai variation which is a kick boxing practice that incorporate the elbows and knees. I started kick boxing approximately three years ago and ever since I started my blood pressure have been low and healthy.
The last and most commonly used strategy that treats my stress level is to listen to music. I listen to a specific music genre based on how I’m feeling. For example when I’m angry I listen to rap artists such as 2Pac or Snoop Dogg. I’ll also listen to a slower tempo of music such as R&B in order to quiet my mind and unwind my muscles. Listening to music can have a profound effect on the emotions and the body. Music instantly changes my mood and lowers my stress level, so it can guide me through the rest of the
