Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard are the authors of an amazing book, Killing Lincoln. Killing Lincoln goes into depth about Abraham Lincoln’s assassination. It starts two weeks before the assassination actually took place; it then goes into depth about how authorities eventually caught everyone involved with the murder. The two authors describe what events took place before, during, and after the assassination (O'Reilly & Martin, 2011).

However, O’Reilly and Dugard did spectacular as to holding my attention. There are many different details and facts that are not well known. Killng Lincoln is known to be a non-fiction history book; however, this one grabbed my attention such as a thriller or mystery. Killing Lincoln is very enjoyable and interesting. Many details stood out to me such as when the guard for Lincoln left his stance outside the box in the theater which is how Booth got into the box so easily (O'Reilly & Martin, 2011, pg. 187 & 194). In Killing Lincoln, so much factual information was provided. Even though there were so many facts, the whole book was interesting. When Lincoln was assassinated, he did not die suddenly. Doctors came up to the box to assist in helping hiim, but they soon moved him to a nearby house. The doctors and Lincoln’s wife sit with him for his last few hours. All this information that was given in Killing Lincoln was very entertaining and interesting to know and understand (O'Reilly & Martin, 2011, pgs. 217-232).
