In this study, Kim Park Nelson’ rigorously shows her passion for this topic however not without a few flaws thrown into the mix. The reason for this statement comes first from Nelson’s heavy usage of oral interviews with Korean adoptees. Although this type of methodology is effective in drawing out new information that was never covered in previous studies, it still does not solve the problem of possible bias within each history. Adding to the problem of possible bias, Nelson brings a possible bias into each interview from being a fellow adoptee. A point that she made clear in her work as she mentions that sometimes, “The impulse to support fellow adoptees … outweighed for me … the rule of nonjudgement” (Nelson 30). She also mentions
