King Arthur and Queen Elizabeth are known as two of the greatest rulers of the England. While King Arthur reigned in the 5th and 6th century and Queen Elizabeth II reigned from 1953 to modern-day, they both are respected and known to many. These two rulers have become legends in our society. They have shaped England into what many know today as the UK. Although there are some aspects that make Queen Elizabeth different from Arthur there are also many similarities that make them the same: such as war, the way they rule, and tradition.

Queen Elizabeth II and Arthur both have ruled England with kindness and wisdom. They have even treated criminals and vandals fairly for example in the book King Arthur by T.H White, Arthur find out that his wife Guenever and Lancelot had an affair despite it though he keeps their secret and is still kind toward them. Queen Elizabeth II has also done this, around the year 1981 an intruder broke into the Queen’s bedroom. Knowing that the guards were not able to come she conversed in conversation with the crook and heard all about his life story. Eventually the guards came in and arrested the man. It’s rather amazing that the Queen acted kindly toward the man even though he could be threatening. King Arthur and Queen Elizabeth understand the importance of staying calm and acting kindly toward another.
One thing that both Queen Elizabeth II and King Arthur are sticklers for is tradition. Tradition is a very important to any King or Queen for it gives the country diversity against others. One tradition that has been around for centuries is crowning. Both King Arthur and Queen Elizabeth were crowned. Queen Elizabeth is heavy on tradition and almost didn’t allow Prince Charles to marry Camilla Parker Bowles. However, the Queen has softened her stance and has stepped a little out of the tradition
