Kit Carson was born on Christmas Eve on December 24 1809, in Richmond KY ,Kit Carson gave up on his education and worked the family's lands. Carson never learned to read , that was a fact that he later tried to hide and was ashamed of. When Kit Carson's father died in 1818, Carson did his best to help out his mother who had 10 children to raise on her own. Carson gave up his education to work the family's lands.He is still remembered for his roles, for example ,trapper, explorer, Indian agent and soldier.

Carson grew as his name became associated with several key events in the United States westward expansion.He died at May 23, 1868 in Fort Lyon,CO and his full name Christopher Houston Carson .He has 10 children 5 girls and 5 boys there names are..Estefana Carson, Christobal Charles Carson,Rebecca …show more content…
Kit Carson was 22 years old when he met a famous Irish mountain man who offered him to taken in on a trapping expedition in the northern Rockies. Kit Carson was more at home Spanish than in English. Spanish was the language that he spoke with his friend Taos, he is also fluent in a third language which was French.

When Carson was 15 years old,he ran away from his home in Missouri to join a caravan trader bound .Kit Carson's father died when he was only nine years old . When he was at the age of 14 Kit Carson was working as an apprentice to a saddle harness maker. Kit Carson died from an abdominal aortic aneurysm and was buried beside his third wife .He was an American frontiersman.

In 1840 Kit Carson married a 17-year-old Cheyenne girl named Making-Out-Road.the later on leaves him to follow her people in a tribal migration.Josefa Married Kit in Taos she married him when she was only 15 and he 33 years old .His first wife was Maria Guadalupe Richards .He is the source of much confusion because he used both names and was married
