Kobe Bryant is one of the best basketball players ever to play the game. He is number 3 on the NBA’s all time scoring list, he won 5 championship trophies and has and MVP in his career. He played in the Olympics 4 times and has 2 gold medals. He is also a father of 3 with a wife and their living in Los Angeles.

Kobe Bean Bryant was born on August 23, 1978 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He got his first name from a restaurant menu and his middle name from his father’s nickname. His father Joe Bryant was a professional basketball player who played in the NBA and Italy. He moved with him when he started playing overseas. At an early age, he loved playing soccer with his older sisters and became great at it. His first love was basketball as he played since he was three years old. He returned to Philadelphia after his dad retired from basketball. In high school he played for Lower Merion and was one of the rare people to start on the varsity team as a freshman.
