Krosoczka was able to appeal to the audience emotions by showing how much of an impact his book had on lunch ladies all over the country. He used a quote by one the lunch ladies that stated, “Before this day, I felt like I was at the end of the planet at this school. I didn’t think that anyone noticed us down here” (Krosoczka 2). Krosoczka used this to make the audience feel how he felt when she said that to him. He made it so the readers could see how unappreciated the lunch ladies felt when no one realized they were there. Krosoczka used this to show how the students now look up to the lunch ladies as role models. He persuaded the readers to see how important the roles of the lunch ladies are by appealing to their emotions.
