BRIDGING THE GAP
Communication is very important in people’s lives. Communication connects people together and helps people express their thinking and their emotion. However, there are some misunderstanding when people communicate with other people from different cultural. According to the article “ Bridging the gap”, published in Business Review Quaterly in the edition from January to March in 2011, Warren Troob identifies some mistakes and some misunderstanding that people often get when they communicate in the multicultural environment. This essay will respond critically to two of the author’s arguments.

Warren proposes two agruments that people still get in the way they communicate with the other people from different cultural. Firstly, the author states that people are wrong when they think all people are the same. There are a lot of cultural in the world and peope can not be sure that they are the same. Secondly, he states that there are several problem when they think it is not important to study about different cultural. If they do not know about different cultural, they could make a bad thing in multicutural environment.

Warren makes a good point when he states that it is not true when people think that all people are the same. In fact, there are a lot of cultural in the world. They are depend on a lot of factors such as geography, language and religion. As a consequense, the cultural from dissimilar areas are different. For example, in western countries, when young people give something for older people, they can give by one hand or two hand. In contrast, in Asia, young people must give by 2 hands to respect older people. When western people come to Asian countries, they think Asian like them and they use one hand to give something to older people. The conflict will occur because
