The inability to digest lactose is called lactose intolerance. This reaction happens when the digestive system get uncomfortable by the presence of lactose and causes some physical side effects. Many people are affected by the intolerance, to put it into a percentage, 65% of the world’s population is lactose intolerant. The experiment will show what happens when lactase is added to lactose-free milk and regular milk. Lactase helps break down glucose into two different things, glucose and galactose,both simple sugars which are easier to digest than lactose.
