Lady Dai is the best preserved body that came from Ancient China. She is so well preserved that she can be compared to a person that just died. Lady Dai was the wife of the Marquis of Dai. Lady Dai died around 213 BC. Lady Dai, who died 2000 years ago, is the best preserved body.
Who She Is
One is probably wondering who Lady Dai is. Lady Dai was born in China in 213 BC. She is known today as Lady Dai but back when she was still alive she was known as Xin Zhui. According to China's Sleeping Beauty, “Xin Zhui Known today as Lady Dai…”(Eti Bonn-muller). She was married to Li Chang from what archaeologists know he was the top of 20 aristocratic ranks in the Han Dynasty. They governed the small kingdom of Dai within Changsha. Xin Zhui or Lady Dai was a very important person.
How She Died
