Lady Macbeth's Flaws

Tragedy is defined as someone who, at one point has great qualities as a leader, but let's one flaw completely and utterly destroys them. Macbeth is a prime example of this. His flaws to the average person would be looked at as something good for example, his positive attitude , caring tendencies, and loyalty to his country . These admirable characteristics are what led to the great tragedy of Macbeth. While bright ideas, it started out with caring parents with the best intentions, and turned into a disaster just because Geneva and Joshua wanted to get their som into the best preschool. At the beginning of act one, Macbeth was viewed as heroic man who had just won a major battle. Macbeth was praised by the citizens and everyone. He was brave and did not show fear while protecting his country (Shakespeare 1.2.35-38). In the beginning he was a great leader, but that soon changed, after hearing the prophecies of how Duncan's kids would become royal. He briefly thinks about killing Duncan. Macbeth's brain is not like it used to be, now he is only focused on what is best for him. In the past, he would've fought for what was right for everyone instead of for just his personal gain. Josh and Genevera were looked at as a nice family, but turned into a tragedy once they became obsessed with the idea of bright ideas and decided to kill Denise for their own personal gain to get there son into bright ideas (Coble 13-14). Lady Macbeth and Macbeth's fears turn into a reality by the end of the book, lady Macbeth, who turned Macbeth into a tragedy is now a tragedy herself.
