Temple Grandin, along with most autistic kids are bullied as children.
Christopher, from the curious incident book, thinks in pictures for whatever it is he thinks about. Some autistic people talk loudly and people think its weird. Some of them take a long time to answer a question that you ask them. In reality, autistic people are the same as we are, they just think differently. To understand autism, We read The Curious
Incident, Watched Temple Grandin, And read a book written by an autistic child. The movie Temple Grandin was the medium that shows autism more that the Reason I
Jump and The Curious incident. Temple Grandin was the best medium because it showed more of how autistic people are treated poorly and looked down on. In the other books, it shows more of how they are protected by people and think differently. The movie shows how people are almost scared of Autism. The best way to describe Autism is a brain development issue.
It affects everyone differently, but most people with it are not able to hold eye contact or make it at all. They also think very literal. If you use a saying such as “I'll believe that when pigs fly” they will think you are actually waiting to see a flying pig. They also will grow attached to different things. Temple became stressed one day on her aunts farm and saw that when they need cattle to calm down they go into a squeeze machine. She went in it to give it a shot and it too worked for her. From then on, She became attached to cattle.

Temple looked at every challenge that she faced as a door that could open new doors for her down the line. The movie did a good job of showing this with when she was going into the lunch room at school and saw the automatic doors. Most people see these as automatic opening, but Temple saw them as automatically closing ones. It took everything she has in her to run through them and she slowly was able to get over it. Most autistic people have a problem keeping eye contact with you when having a conversation. They are working a lot harder to talk to us that we are to talk to them, and eye contact is another thing to worry about.They will look around for something that will make a picture come to their mind and help the conversation. Most people have something that causes us to get angry,but this is much more common for autistic people. Temple would get extremely
