In this essay I will analyze the causes and affects of nationalism in Latin American and Europe in the 1800s. The first document I am going to look at is document 2. This document is a song by a France officer after France declared war on Austria in the year of 1792. The second document that I am going to look at is document 1.This document is a description of the leader Simon Bolivar, who is very against those who do not agree with his nationalist ways. The third document that I am going to look at is document 3 where Camillo Benso the count of Cavour describes the efforts to unify Italy. In this document Camillo Benso says that nationalism is what keeps Italy united. The fourth document that I am going to look is document 6 which is by the Russian minister of Education Sergey Uvarov. In this document he describes three important principles. The documents showed that the English and Latin Americans had a strong sense of nationalism.
