There should be more laws against texting while driving, According to a report published by the NHTSA, 5,474 people were killed in the United States due to distracted driving incidents and 488,000 were injured in these accidents, the NHTSA released figures for distracted- affected crashes in 2010 that showed 3, 092 deaths due to distraction- affected crashes.
