It is with great enthusiasm that I apply for Superintendent of West Fargo Public Schools. I bring 26 years of educational and leadership experience, a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, and a North Dakota Superintendent credential. Additionally, I am a member of the August 2018 cohort beginning the doctoral program in Educational Leadership at Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM). If given the opportunity to serve as superintendent, I will leverage my previous successes in West Fargo Public Schools as Assistant Superintendent, Director of Assessments and Federal Programs, Elementary Principal, Middle School Assistant Principal, Coordinator, and Elementary Teacher, to lead and serve a district I call home.

As Elementary Assistant Superintendent, I have a proven record for leading district leadership teams in the implementation of a multitude of district initiatives with laser focus on the district strategic plan, vision, and mission. My mentors include Principal Robert Kaspari, who patiently taught me to investigate objectively, question carefully, and never make assumptions. Superintendent Dr. Charles Cheney taught me to build strong relationships, listen with the intent to learn, and honor people’s time. Dr. David Flowers, our current superintendent, taught me to lead with knowledge, expertise and kindness, not with positional power. These mentors have taken the time to mentor and model for me how to be an effective principal, assistant superintendent, and superintendent.
