Chi Alpha relies on a foundation of mentoring relationships. At the base, small groups serve to connect students with students offering a grass roots form of mentoring to larger numbers of students. While the majority of mentoring in Chi Alpha rests in the hands of student leaders, several examples of mentoring rely on Chi Alpha staff. These take the form of new believer’s classes, leadership training and resource group leadership. These roles usually exist in the form of long-term relationships that may extend throughout the student’s college career and includes training that requires modeling of skills by others.
